When you install Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite you’ll have to re-install the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). That’s a normal behavior on Mac devices.
For a recent project I had to determine the bitness of IBM Domino in pure Java.
I really like the idea behind the IBM Collaboration QuickStart image on SoftLayer (Niklas posted here). Helping new developers to get in touch with ICS technologies without going through installation hell.
Some - for me - highly respected people demonstrated last week at Connect 2014 how to build mobile apps using IBM Worklight. It was nice to see how the tooling works as I haven’t looked into Worklight very deeply. At least because I don’t want to install another Eclipse and because Worklight doesn’t support the latest Eclipse version 4.3.
Today I’ve been pointed to an interesting behavior when having the ShortName field filled in your personal addressbook and iOS 7. Thanks to Harald “Shadow” Gärttner for this.
Yesterday I’ve been asked how a simple (general) method for Domino object recycling may look like.
Yesterday I stumbled upon a behavior which directed me - once again - to the most important point in Notes/Domino Java develoment. Recycling!
I’ll be speaking at EntwicklerCamp and BLUG. Two events, two weeks, two different topics, triple fun.
