Here are my slides from Connect 2013 about IBM Mobile Connect and one additional sidenote about WebSphere Edge licensing.
Have you ever heard about DOTS - the Domino OSGi Tasklet Service? If not, check it out. And consider some important information.
Today IBM has announced that they will provide Data Leak Prevention Capability with IBM Notes Traveler 9 UP1 (delivery is estimated Q2/2013). Awesome news! But was does that mean - Data Leak Prevention?
The just released Upgrade Pack 2 for IBM Lotus Traveler has introduced a serious bug - at least in combination with MS SQL Server. We haven’t verified IBM DB2 yet, but it’s been seen/tested in at least two different setups
IBM will release IBM Notes ToDo’s for iOS and Android in the very near future.
It’s confirmed: I’ll be speaking at the Lotusphere track at IBM Connect 2013 in Orlando. Two times. About IBM Mobile Connect (formerly known as Lotus Mobile Connect).
I was asked what my favourite way to migrate Notes views from “legacy” to XPages is. And I must say: it depends.
Yesterday I’ve been asked (see here) how to disable the HTTP link conversion of Notes links for IBM Traveler 8.5.3 UP1.
One rule of thumb when developing web/mobile applications is: stress the network (as already pointed out here)! It could be mission critical to have a full functional network connection with average availability and coverage. But have you testet that? How does your application behave with DNS delays? Can the server handle breaking connections? And how to test that?
The last months have been busy for me. Very busy. Our company is - as you probably know - heavily engaged in the mobile area. That means specifially for me: doing development for mobile devices. And that’s what this article is about. It’s not about dogmatic views about which technology is best! I know that others have those points of view. I don’t care. I believe in solutions that solve the needs. No matter how you’re doing it. And I believe in what users are saying.
