Within the last days I’ve received several confirmations for speaking at BLUG and DNUG. At both conferences I’ll speak about the new IBM Social Business Toolkit. And at DNUG I’ll have a second session about OSGi.

The IBM Social Business Toolkit, better known as the Activity Stream in IBM Project Vulcan, will be the most important piece within the Lotus portfolio for the next years. In this session we’ll have a look at how the toolkit generally works, which API is currently available and how to use it. Last but not least we’ll dive into some live demo applications - which you can take home with you!

One of the key aspects of the plug-in model is building loosely coupled components that interact using a service model and that aren’t as brittle as traditional applications. This session will teach attendees all about OSGi and the services model and how to use it for development across different platforms within the Lotus product portfolio, i. e. with plug-in development for the Notes client, for your XPages or on the Domino-Server.

There is really less time to rest at the moment. I just had two sessions at the EntwicklerCamp on Monday. But I’m really, really looking forward to those two conferences. The good feedback after the Lotusphere IDOL contest a few weeks ago made me eager for more. Hopefully my abstracts for UKLUG in Manchester will be accepted, too. *pressingthumbs*
